MEET THE PALESTINIAN DESIGNERS THAT SHOULD BE ON YOUR RADAR
Where design and purpose align
By Quinn Catabui.
In the heart of Palestine, resilience knows no bounds, and these Palestinian designers are proof of that. These emerging brands are reshaping the fashion landscape, leaving a trailblazing mark on the region.
From dressing Queen Rania of Jordan to pioneering avant-garde Arab design, these Palestinian creatives are leading the way forward.

NAFSIKA SKOURTI
This Palestinian brand was founded by sisters Nafsika and Stephanie Skourti who believe in using their morality and design intellect to create a fashion brand that grows in value. Delving away from the usual modest-only fashion, the label likes to blend a mixture of sensuality with modesty. As seen in the “Memories of a Home I Never Lived In” collection, the sisters embody Palestinian inspiration through embroideries and prints on femme silhouettes.
ZEID HIJAZI
Offering a unique outlook on Arab design, this Palestinian designer is a force to be reckoned with. Currently pursuing his Bachelor’s in Fashion Design at Central Saint Martins, Zeid Hijazi has already established a substantial following his grand entrance into the fashion world. Inspired by abstract folklore and infused with what he terms ‘Arab Futurism,’ Zeid’s design ethos has firmly established his presence. His repertoire showcases sharp tailoring, a blend of traditional and modern silhouettes all done with finesse.
DAR NOORA
If you haven’t discovered this brand yet, you’re missing out. Dar Noora stands as a testament to Palestinian craftsmanship, having had the honour of dressing one of Jordan’s beloved royal members, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan. Each garment is imbued with traditional cross-stitch techniques intertwined with contemporary influences, weaving a story that celebrates Palestinian heritage with every thread and needle.
MEERA ADNAN
Meera Adnan loves to bring a narrative into its collections, infusing contemporary fashion with romantic and nostalgic energy. Founded by Meera Albaba, the brand is known for being inspired by the personal stories of Gaza into its designs. The label’s debut collection, ‘Migration,’ drew inspiration from the ancient cross stitch embroidery technique, Tatreez, seamlessly merging traditional design with modern ready-to-wear pieces. Meera also embraces Palestine’s diverse cultural tapestry, effortlessly blending local influences and political references into a captivating visual narrative.
