Pro-Zionist Sympathiser Party Retains Western Cape Amid Controversy

As the results of South Africa’s elections draw to a close, controversy is brewing in the Western Cape, where the Democratic Alliance (DA), a party with alleged connections to Israel, has retained power.
A significant portion of pro-Palestinian activists, who turned out in strong numbers for many marches in the city, including the iconic painting of Bo-Kaap in Palestine’s colors, are voicing their dissatisfaction.
DA leader John Steenhuisen’s anti-Palestine comments, where he stated, “one man’s genocide could be another man’s freedom,” in the context of Israel’s actions in Palestine, have sparked outrage among the activists.

Pro-Palestinian activists have held numerous marches in Cape Town to protest the DA’s stance and Steenhuisen’s comments. The local community believes these statements are a blatant disregard for the suffering of Palestinians and have galvanized widespread opposition.
There are growing concerns and allegations that the vote in Cape Town and the Western Cape does not accurately reflect the will of the people. Among other parties, there are accusations of discrepancies in the tallying of votes and other irregularities, leading to calls for a re-vote. Many believe that the election results were manipulated, undermining the true democratic voice of the region’s residents.
Supporters have gathered at the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) offices, demanding transparency and answers. They assert that the current results do not represent the genuine sentiments of Cape Town’s population and are advocating for a thorough investigation into the alleged discrepancies.
Below are videos and posts from supporters who are standing in solidarity, demanding a fair and honest electoral process.
